I think the the invention is nothing spectacular. But it was needed to steam up some traditional car factories who where more busy with fraudulent software and cars than making a cleaner car.

we used russian gas for the last 50 years - so what?
and even that will become smaller and smaller.

Europe's renewable energy leaders are Nordic countries: Sweden, Finland and Denmark.
Since 2012 more than half of the total energy consumed in Sweden has come from renewable sources, according to the International Energy Agency.
This is due in large part to hydroelectric power, which provides more than 40 percent of the country's electricity output. Swedes heat themselves mainly with biofuels.
Denmark—a small, flat country long dependent on energy imports—now gets 43 percent of its electricity from wind power after investment starting in the late 1970s when it began phasing out coal plants.

But i have the idea that 1 tesla cars, is paid for 5 times by government subsidies in several different countries. Other car factories have to pay them to compensate, money from governments cause people get free money when they buy electric, the plants get money-tax breaks if they built them there, etcetra.

you know the very good thing on an economy is, that money can not really be burned.
even when this money would go to build buildings what have to be destroyed later it gave people work and food and went from their hands to the next.
nearly all economical hypes in the history have been based on structure changes or rebuilding something.
it may sound crazy but even the 9/11 attacks created more jobs than any other thing.
but just to prevent paul´s next stupid attack: NO - i do not mean that terror is a good idea to help the economy.
