The bigger problem is medical. The higher the medical costs, the more money our government spends. This is insane.
I have a friend of mine who is a doctor. She makes $40 per patient visit and sees four patients per hour. That's $160 / hour before any of her expenses - staff, insurance, rent, computers.... In the mean time, HIV medication costs $20 a pill over the counter, but $1200 a pill with medical insurance. How the fuck is that possible?
