Over the last 40 years there has been only one set politicians care about. Big business. They've allowed them to move manufacturing to the Third World, allowed mass migration of low skilled and seen wages flat line for decades for over 50% of the workforce. Now automation is beginning to bite and things are getting worse. As for the climate, any action taken is tinkering at the edge.
