Jeremy Wade of River Monsters fame is returning to Discovery-owned Animal Planet in another series produced by Bristol-based indie Icon Films that this time brings the biologist to the water’s edge to investigate the unexplained and unimaginable.
Titled Jeremy Wade’s Dark Waters, the series will feature Wade as he investigates unsolved aquatic mysteries in remote areas of the world. Delving beneath the waters, Wade will journey to islands long forgotten and open oceans to solve reports of the sudden disappearance of an entire fish species, genetic oddities that might have produced bigger monsters, and unexplained sightings of mythical beings.
Dark Waters: How to Catch a River Monster will receive its U.S. series premiere across Animal Planet on April 21 at 9 p.m. ET/PT
