My second choice in 2016 was Ted Cruz.
Trump and the alt-right saved the GOP. They were a party losing voters to old age faster than they could recruit youth voters since their pre-Trump platform was "problematic" as liberals would say. Everybody they run after Trump will have to be alt-right.
