I don't get the obsession with the Smollett case. Lying to police - especially faking a kidnap - is a serious crime. However, if it wasn't for the fact that he is an actor on TV this wouldn't have even made the news.
Republicans are all over this like bears to honey. Suddenly Republicans want to get at the truth; Suddenly Republicans want to have an investigation. They want an investigation into Smollett, but yet want to hide Mueller's report.
This is simple. If a crime has been committed... press charges and go to trial. Easy.
