Showing that image instead of actually broadcasting yourself is simply spam. That's a static image, it's not what models do. It's a marketer with a viewbot. Probably from BHW. There are several threads in their HaF section regarding that. Models are using viewbots only God knows since when to boost their legit channel, but this is different.
The issue is the primitive ranking algo. They should work on a better one, which is more complicated to crack. The first step could be a better ip filtering, because when you bot with 1000s of proxies to get to the top, those must be low quality proxies, otherwise it wouldn't worth it. Unless they're part of a botnet.
If someone really wanted, he could occupy all the top spots with this technique paralizing the site.
