Exactly!

In debate terms what he did is called an Argument from ignorance and it's used to shift the burden of proof on everyone else to prove him wrong. It's a lazy way to purposely make your oponent do all the work & waste energy.

He also uses the Gish Gallop technique.

"During a Gish gallop, a debater confronts an opponent with a rapid series of many specious arguments, half-truths, and misrepresentations in a short space of time"

It's another shift of burdon technique where you exert almost no effort to make your half truth, untrue claims, etc and your opponent has to spend massive time & energy going point-by-point disproving you.

Basically, he uses techniques to purposely waste our time & energy.

This is why I blocked him and his "TheSqueeler" nic almost 2 years ago now.

Then you have Paul Markham.

Paul's time wasting method is to ask a question, with a complex answer, that he could have easily Googled. You go through effort to explain, then he moves the goal posts, another underhanded nefarious debate technique that wastes everyone's time. Then the next day, or a week later, he'll ask the same question or falsely attribute that you have a certain viewpoint that you already explained to him before you didn't have (i.e. "You're just another far left extreme liberal" when the day before you told him you're fiscally conservative, pro gun ownership, pro death penalty, against late term abortion, pro border security & against sanctuary cities)
