Actually, I don't fault Bush for doing this. Sure he could get up and walk out but he's in front of kids after all, and he knew the story time was short, etc. Bush Jr. was a terrible president for sure, but keeping composure and finishing story-time with kids isn't something I'd trash him for.
However, the other video of him saying "Now watch this swing" (or whatever it was) was just ridiculous.
