All jokes aside, it did become a much bigger issue today.
Let's say Trump is completely innocent of everything - its possible that he is.
But what happened today is that Adam Schiff just made the scope of the investigation much wider. They are now looking for anyone in Trump's orbit, including his family, to see if any of them at all could be under any kind of Russian Influence.
Before you react, think about it a minute. It's possible that Donald T did notthing at all wrong, but maybe one of his kids did. If they did, and the Russians know about it, they can dangle that over Trump's head and demand favours.
The amount of influence could be weak, or it could be something stronger. Pooty wants sanctions lifted which he actually just got. Pooty wants the US out of NATO which Trump joked about recently. And if thats true, that means that Trump would be betraying you and your country just to protect a personal secret.
It could be possible that Putin has some dirt on 1 or more of Trump's family, or circle of friends, and is using it. THAT is what the expanded investigation is all about.
Maybe Jared did something illegal, and Trump has to keep it under wraps to save the marriage because Ivanka is begging him to... or maybe its something much much worse. Who knows? The investigation has to be allowed to continue, and you have to accept the outcome.
