Well, yes, but no. But yes, and well no... but a little yes.
iPhone sales are falling for a few reasons: They introduced a cheap battery replacement program for older phones. Their new phones are expensive. 5G is around the corner so some buyers, at least buyers like me, won't be buying another phone until 5G hits. The US Dollar is strong & tensions between China and the US have caused a drop in iPhone sales in China, which represents 15% of Apple iPhone sales.
Now add the trade war Trump started with China. Now consider that maybe Trump was bullshitting as you know he has done before.
And now just think about the basic economics of it. Why would a company in China hire 13,000 blue collar workers at $15 an hour when it can get the same workforce in China for alot less? Even with the $4Billion incentive Trump made, it still doesn't make alot of sense.
I'm not at all surprised that the jobs did not appear.
