I'm not saying the guy didn't have a bad past or that he that he didn't have a lot of problems with the law. The issue is as much how you say it. Instead of just pointing out facts, you make some kind of snide remark about this being a story of a young rapper turning his life around as if this is exactly what we are to expect from young black men. Maybe you would have said something snide about a white guy in the same situation, but that isn't this situation. I'm just pointing things out. I read that snide statement and it sounds racist. That's just me. Other's may not.
