Now this is rich.. Wish I would have seen this response before. Wish someone would have private messaged me and given me a heads up (or at least tried to publicly flame me).
This post would have been a lot more timely. For the record he must have came back and made that post a long long time after the deal was done.
Frankly I'm surprised Bladewire didn't mention something.. lol. I would have ;)
Dealing with amateurs like this was one of the reasons I specified vetted and known gfyers with history to begin with. Huge mistake. Guy had no idea what kind of gold he had on his hands. Dumb lucky fuck. (This is what you get for trying to be kind ladies).
Tell the people what you received Mark.. And tell the people what was allegedly left out. Don't forget to be as specific as possible.. Because after the amount of extra time I spent with you, I'm dying to know myself.
Since it's not of value or "incomplete" as you say.. Right? and I "only gave you a few files". Absolutely hilarious. But, as to be expected.
I can't help but find it amusing since I went way out of my way to help this guy and my dealings with him were with kid gloves. He's not a webmaster he's a programmer - my second mistake. English isn't his native language - my third mistake.
Facts as follows:
1. I allowed him to pay via PayPal as a courtesy (instead of Bitcoin) to make him feel extremely safe and comfortable , giving him an avenue of reproach and actual recourse (as square as you can get).
2. I went way out of my way to make him comfortable, allowing him to send the payments in two installments for his own comfort (creatives and method summary for the first half, the rest of the details and execution upon completion of the second payment.. So he felt the least amount of risk possible.)
3. I told him up front there would be no psds when he inquired about them, he accepted, and I ended up giving him a $1000 set of psds anyway.. Again, as a courtesy (kid gloves from start to finish). I even went so far as to align him with sponsors
4. After the payments were sent, and the complete method handed over, he tried to file a claim, and only after realizing he had no chance of winning he dropped it. Why? Because he thought if he did this it would would force my favor to offering him more "kid glove - hand holding" post transaction support in perpetuity.
5. I told him from the beginning that everything he needed to know was in the package (which it was - any webmaster would have shit bricks with what I gave him and the detail included) and that I wasn't willing to do a perpetual "holding your hand / do the work for you" back and forth for eternity.
This is going to make me sound like a dick.. But anyone who has ever done business knows when someone else can not afford to do a deal. Mark was trying to squeeze the orange as hard as possible with constant questions (after receiving the entire process laid out for any laymen webmaster to understand as smoothly as possible).
I had to reiterate to him several times that I wasn't going to keep holding his hand. Such to the point I had to stop answering his post transaction question emails.. (Remember, I went out of my way to edit the accompanying text and break down specifically for him as an individual with zero experience - to be extra detailed).
I've sold this method to 3 other GFYers in the past (including Pheer, and Adraco) who understood it perfectly and we're happy with it.
Fucking idiot got literal gold for pennies ($1000) and wanted me to hold his hand the ENTIRE process with hour long emails answers dozens and dozens of post transaction questions.. Then requested for me to be around for additional support when he planned to roll it out 3 months later.
At first I tried to be nice and tell him that I wouldn't mind answering a couple of quick questions or clarifications. But it was far beyond the scope of that which is commonplace, since he had absolutely ZERO webmaster experience.
In hindsight I'm an ignorant cunt for even trying to help this fellow at all.
I told him up front before a single dollar was sent that I wasn't going to hold his hand, (my slide senses were already tingling) and that he was responsible for rolling the method out and implementing it (common sense 101) I went out of my way to make sure he understood and that everything he needed to know was packaged up nice and neat.. I even edited the method to break down in extended detail parts to pay extra special attention to and give additional instruction up front..
Why? Because time is money.. And 10 hours of additional support makes the deal a wash.
As soon as he told me he was a programmer, I should have declined. As soon as he told me English wasn't his native language. I should have declined.
This is what you get for trying to be a nice guy and accommodate.
He received a hell of a lot than he paid for, and ended up zeroing out any gains made with all the back and forth. I can't tell you how many gems that this guy got in that package.. Probably at least 3 pearls in there that could do 50k a year easy.. Including how to convert paid traffic directly using the creatives without* the chat method.
A huge waste of time and resources on my behalf.
The truth is if I had any inclination how fuddy duddy this guy was going to be I would have paid money not to get involved with him. It ended up costing me way more time than necessary.
He essentially wanted me to roll out the method for him, and set it up with him, such to a degree that would prevent him from making a single* mistake.. Which was never my guarantee.
The method in and of itself was incredibly straight forward, as were the accompanying creatives and text.. Which were unbelievably detailed in his special extenuating circumstances "non webmaster case".
Fucking guy got way more than he paid for, and cost me of a lot excess time and support that was never promised (you'd have to be insane or broke to make that deal), and I clarified that such "hand holding" would not be obliged to begin with.
Everything he needed was in that package, in extreme detail, with extra bonus tips and tricks.. Bonus materials.. Etc.. (As accommodating as one can be) And still he wanted to re-question everything and go over it in such a way where there was no "connect the dots" for him.
**Something I had an extremely difficult time conveying to him (either the language barrier or the non webmaster barrier) was that he only needed to understand the concept to implement it.
That it wasn't about the details he kept picking over, it was about understanding the concept as a whole, and why it works, how it converts, as well as the strengths and ingenuity it plays to. That way he could apply it and customize it to multiple avenues and methods to suit his particular needs.
I'm sure everyone of you who's actively done business with buyers before has had one of "these guys" in your past. Even so, I accept the responsibility of having brought it on myself by not having the clarity to void him as a buyer to begin.
He was incredibly happy with the creatives and awed by the cleverness and ingenuity of the method when I was talking to him. But I did have to cut his email questions off LONG after the transaction was complete.
A colossal waste of time, frustration, and resources for me.
For him, he made out like a bandit.. But who knows, perhaps he really is too dumb to realize it (although that's the opposite of what he advertised to me).
And this is why I will never try to sell any chat sales methods on GFY again
Keep in mind, I've sold this method to 3 people in total here on GFY (adraco, mr Pheer) and this is the only "special" guy who had a problem.
So what's say it Mark.. Be more specific mate. Tell us how you got ripped off exactly?
Fuck I wish I would have seen this while that total shit of a transaction was fresh in my mind.
Bottom line, the guy got way more than he bargained for. I'm genuinely interested to see if he's singing the same tune these many months later.
If he is, I'll refund adraco and Pheer and post the method publicly to kill it so all can see what a dunce this guy is.
I've got no dog in the fight because I don't do semi-manual anymore, for the reasons listed in OP.
This was supposed to be a 5 minute 1k for me (a free 65inch tv) for materials and break downs I already had at the ready.. And it turned into actual work and time involved because this dunce of a buyer.
I'll park this right here, should be fun for everyone to watch regardless and frankly I could use the entertainment..lol.
