Except the rulers have played a great game. They refuse to say what they do want or come up with terms the EU turns down. They have made sure the arguing continues with Parliament, both houses, and makes it almost impossible to cobble together any sort of deal. Even now they refuse to tell May what is acceptable.

The catastrophe was giving any of them a say. Because when May came back with the only acceptable deal to either side, UK and EU. They rejected it in huge numbers, even though they were the reason she got such a bad deal.

Now most want No Deal off the table without saying what deal is acceptable.
