No, that is not what he said. He said Mexico will pay for the wall.
If he meant "Mexico will be paying for the wall through some new trade deal" why is he asking for $5 billion.
This is bullshit, and it's gotten old. We don't need a fucking wall. Illegal immigration is down, and most illegal immigrants come through proper ports of entry and never return home. The same with drugs. At the same time, they are already tunneling under what little walls we have and also fences. Building a expensive wall that doesn't work that is trying to solve a problem that is less of a problem every month is exactly why two thirds of Americans are against it.
Now the problem is Trump wants Democrats to help him keep his campaign promise. That's not going to happen. This is the Trump Shutdown. Trump said he would be proud to shut down the government. So be it. We can limp along another few weeks until TSA agents throw in the towel and go out and get jobs that pay them. Same thing with the Coast Guard.
Some one from my home town on Facebook changed her profile photo to "Trump is Winning". Winning at what? He is by far the most unpopular president ever. He hasn't fixed the Middle East (the other side won't even talk to us), hasn't fixed the opioid crisis, hasn't built a wall, hasn't improved relations with Russia.... Oh - North Korea. Hasn't fixed that either. Other than a tax cut for the rich that did nothing for the average American and NAFTA 2.0 (which seems to be more or less the same exact agreement we had before with only a handful of minor changes).... What the fuck?
Robbie came to GFY earlier today and told he wants to have Obama investigated. How can Obama afford houses in Chicago, Washington DC, and Hawaii if he as only worked for the US government his entire life. Setting aside the fact he worked for a law firm as an attorney, and his wife made hundreds of thousand of dollars a year as an attorney, and setting aside the fact that they have made millions on book deals.... And setting aside the fact that the Obama have released their tax forms for the past decade.... Are you fucking kidding me? We know where every dime Obama ever made came from. But yet somehow the Mueller investigation is a witch hunt?
