2. prosperity today is a very other thing as prosperity 50 years ago. the human brain obviously can not remember the bad things but the good ones.
how many televisions did you have 50 years ago? how many cars did you drive and HOW LONG DID YOU HAVE TO WORK to get that.
3. you seem to think that wellfare and healthcare is lost money - but it is NOT you dumb.
actually the poorest people are the ones that give all they have back in the money circle, simply because they can not save money.
every dollar paid on wellfare and healthcare goes directly into the income of a taxpayer.
so it will COME BACK - and THIS IS THE MAIN PURPOSE OF MONEY !!!!!
but tell me what comes back from the taxpayers money when it is used for a bomb dropped on a foreign country ?

it can work with HIGH TAXES.
this taxes have to be spend to the ones that do not own a company for buying products.
the sense of any kind of production would be gone if there is nobody who can afford to buy.
so wellfare and healthcare is an economic booster and not the end of economy !
it is the REASON for taxes and community spendings. if that would not be the case and the world would be ruled with your little brain, you would be sitting alone at the end at the monopoly and all your streets and houses would not feed you.
