Um, that's EXACTLY what the Russian bots do. They back up and support fake information posted to RT.

Then it goes on to say... "The scheme was exposed by the New York Times — the paper that just over a month earlier published that aforementioned oped, in which Fox and Morgan pontificated about Russian interference online."

Okay, great, a serious, real, mainstream news org posted this information... Um, no links? If this is the smoking gun you say it is and the New York Times posted information on it, wouldn't you quote them, or link to their article? Nah.
