Yes and no.
I've been a cat person my whole life and I can tell you that Cats care about alot of things besides food. My current cats are super affectionate. They love to play, they sleep with me and my other half, and do all kinds of things to let us know they care.
Cats also like warm things of course. They sleep in the sun, or on top of a stereo or even my old Apple Timecapsule which runs warm.
I think though that the story of that video is fake. You can't see what the cat is watching, and it can cuddle-up to it for all kinds of reasons. It might be warm, but a cellphone would have to be running a video for a long time to get warm enough for kitty to cuddle it for warmth. It's more likely that the cat just sees something amusing on the screen.
By the way, Check out "Cat Fishing" for tablets. It's a game for cats, and mine freak out on it. I'm pretty sure my cats would be more interested in that, then of a video of me.
