How is it hypocritical to apologize when you decided that you did something that really does not fit you?

I gave you a little poke because something you did pissed me off, why? because I was in a bad mood when I saw it.

I then decided that what you did did not bother me enough to warrant the poke and I apologized for it.

I had not gone far with what I did. I could have gone much farther but decided against it and apologized right up front.

I didn't go bat shit crazy off the rails. I did not go register different versions of tancenter and put up competing sites, I didn't go posting in every thread you have created.

I apologized, which is what someone like me would do if we felt we might be in the wrong, even a little bit.

Again, nothing hypocritical there.
