From the prestigious The Journal on Blacks in Higher Education we find this: "Whites from families with incomes below $10,000 had a mean SAT test score that was 46 points higher than blacks whose families had incomes of between $80,000 and $100,000."

SAT score is not IQ. There's alot of factors that determine a person's SAT score. Preparation is a big part. People who are poorer are more likely to strive towards a higher score in order to get financial aid. When your family income is over $80,000 you're guaranteed a college education. In my school the incomes ranged from about $40,000 to several million/year. In my lovely little suburb there were people that were dirt poor, and on the other side of town you could go to Fat Joe's house. Who did better in school? The poor kids of course.
