Thanks for sharing your ideas.

The main problem that I see is that this is very specific to your needs, so I can't see much general interest on plugins that track IP addresses. You can know where visitors come from by simply using a Google Analytics snippet.

Regarding botnet attacks, using a plugin is not the best solution. These problems are better solved at the server level, or mitigated using a service such as Cloudflare. If you need a solution to deal with such attacks, please let me know and I can help you out. Not with a plugin, but with the appropriate server/Cloudflare configuration.

In any case, keep the ideas coming! Still looking to give back to the community
