I thought of you when I wrote that actually.
Having a child out of wedlock was taboo back then, not to mention having a child with your wife and then shortly after having a child with your girlfriend. Of course my father and his wife divorced.
My brother... His mother was "sent away" to have the kid "out of sight" and he was later adapted by his grandparents because it was improper for a single woman to have a child.
