Yes I've seen this side show. What a coincidence it are Ze Russians again. And what a coincidence our security agency decided to extensively publish this case of spying of a couple of amateurish bumbling Russians in the media and release every single detail, while in all other cases they're strictly against that.
A couple of Russian spies, and the first time EVER our security agency decides to provide the media with pics and stories to blow this story up to get it out in the world media. Hm, I wonder why they chose to do so with this particular case? I really wonder.
Lets all forget that every single country is spying on every other country.
Lets all forget that the biggest and most advanced spy network ever, PRISM of the NSA, is still growing bigger by the day and is the most extreme, large scaled infringement of privacy for citizens across the globe. But that's not news anymore so we just let it happen.
Lets forget the
NSA spied on this exact same Dutch institution these Russians attempted to spy on.
Lets forget that a law was passed last april in Holland for a 'dragnet', that makes it officially legal for our security agencies to mass-tap all of its own citizens without them being suspects of anything, and hand all this data of its OWN CITIZENS over to the NSA. This is our own government.
We, the citizens, voted against this law in a referendum this year. You never guess what happened next... They ignored our vote as usual, moved some commas, and pushed it through anyway. And you know what our government did next? Get rid of that pesky referendum law so we can't vote on laws anymore.
You know which only other country in history removed their referendum law? East Germany in 1968, because they were also afraid of the voice and will of the people.
Lets also forget that Ze Russians are used to create a boogeyman of a country again by our media and politicians. So anything any other country does isn't made into news, but when Russia does it, it is. And (as you can already see by just the few examples i gave) there is lots and lots more material of other countries doing the same or far worse.
The start of the anti Russia campaign was around 2013, since then gradually Russia is more and more in the news all of a sudden. Why do you think Russia is mentioned every single day now in US media? Does 'cold war' ring a bell? Hello? Anything in that head of yours?
I could go on and on. But we forget. We let the media tell us what is important. We like pictures of a couple of bad men because we can relate to that. It's simple. We don't like a picture of a PRISM hub on the rocky countryside shore of Great Britain. We can't relate to a huge data structure ripping billions and billions of more of our data than this handful of Russian idiots ever can.
I hope you read this huge book, since you did address me in your OP, so you understand where i'm coming from.
