As I've said many times.. Manafort was the salesman out in the field... Out getting contracts signed and briefcases full of cash to send back to the US for payoffs and/or meetings with the President???? If Manafort said he made $70 million or whatever you can bet that was just a small percentage (his earnings) of what actually changed hands..
Also he didnt plead guilty to everything.. He plead to 2 charges.. 1 of which is new today... obstruction.. The "lobbying" charges were dropped.... Because he wasn't a lobbyist.. He was pretty much a independently contracted salesman/event planner.
