Male-1 refers to the court case where he setup and then testified against Russians. He has never been identified as an "asset" up until this admission. It's always been "right-wing conspiracy theory" Even the FBI has claimed that he was "under surveillance" during that time and this is how he was "approached" to testify..
This also destroys the claim they needed to surveil him with Trump.. He was an asset..
BUT they set him up in this operation... I think he was sent in as an asset but once he got in there was " no there, there" and/or he figured out it was a setup.. So he left.. This pissed them off so they put the FISA on him.
