You are wrong on both. Many people were saying this over the past 3 years, but VR is still progressing. July is our all time record sales month. Facebook, Google, Samsung, Nvidia, Microsoft, Sony and many others are heavily investing into VR infrastructure that will make it to mass market because they realise huge potential of that medium. Hype comes and goes, all the amazing VR content that has been created is here to stay and get improved. And you don't want to miss it.
