the war in syria is a proxy war between iran and its allies and saudi arabia and their allies.
but it's not just about power. It's also about oil and arms sales.
the people there know nothing about politics or an arab spring.
the arab spring is an american invention to see as much hatred and discord in the middle east that you can plunder it like everyone else.
if the EU has made a mistake, it is at best to stand up to assad right from the start instead of looking to see who is fighting on the other side.
the situation in the middle east is so complicated and hard to understand that you can hardly see through it. the only ones who are really to blame here are those who watch how these massacres cost the lives of people who just want to live in peace.
