This is happening all the time with APIC. We had them three times so far. Each instance was based on "evidence" with no credibility.
Frankly APIC are not worth 5 seconds of your time - there is no need to respond to Steve if you are in compliance. These people are neither lawyers or much else.
If they caused you damages (forget the small beans) by passing inaccurate information to Verotel or anyone else, don't even communicate - just sue them immediately. It may focus their dumb brains a little and get em to have a rethink.
