You have to understand that someone who comes to the United States illegally and stays here for over a decade breaks dozens of laws on a daily basis. She doesn't have a drive's license, doesn't have insurance, and doesn't have a car registered to her. How many jobs has she had where she made false statements about her citizenship? She cannot pay taxes because she doesn't have a social security number. The list goes on and on.

I'm sorry, I feel for these people. I really do. However, if you come to the United States illegally the are breaking the law. If I get caught driving without a DL it can be up to six months in jail for me plus a $1k fine (I looked it up). How is it this woman didn't see any jail time?

If you want to come to the United States and become a citizen, you have to do it legally. If not, you are a criminal.

I have no issues with habitual criminals being deported, but really Rockhard there isn't much recourse she could take once they said she lied. Maybe she did lie, who knows but people do make mistakes and something as simple as a lie or a misunderstanding shouldn't force a family to be ripped apart..

If we start deporting people that lie then Trump should have been deported 20 years ago.. Something else she came here in 1998 rules were different then than they are now..

She has no criminal background other than staying here longer than she should have. Meanwhile she's not robbing or raping anyone.. She's married to a US citizen and has 2 kids which are US citizens..

This is a case of the law over reaching.. but it's ok because she was born on the other side of a imaginary line and didn't tell the truth about it..

Would you be ok with your wife or mother being deported if you suddenly found out they really weren't born here and came from another country illegally? Imagine all their lives they lived as normal US citizens never causing problems but then you find out they weren't born here. Would you be ok with deporting your own? Would you take such a hard-line stance on your own family? on your best friend's wife? your brother or sister's significant other?
