You know facts are ignored by idiots.
They go by how a politician presents himself and how he says things. What his actual policies and actions are, is not important.
Form over function. Aesthetics over substance.
"He looks so friendly. I am going to vote for him."
"His skin color is black. I am going to vote for him."
"He is such a pleasant public speaker. I vote for him."
"She is a woman. I vote for her."
Skin color, gender, friendly looks, polished public speaker - unfortunately these 4 basic things that have ZERO to do with what the actual policies are of a politician, are the factors a huge amount of people base their vote on. Which is completely insane, dumb, shallow, ignorant, racist and sexist. Which in turn are ironically the things they tend to shout to others when their fake polished career politician doesn't win for a change.
