You will be surprised but it's a fact... males in Russia got beaten by their wives much more often. Not because they are weak or so. That's because they can't rise a hand at their woman. All my childhood I was living @ one floor above a police station and I really know what I'm talking about.

P.S. Yes, women get beaten too, but males are much more usual victims of domestic violence here.
