I think many radical Muslims would still attack us even if we said these things. They think it is a honor to die fighting us. You can threaten someone who wants to die fighting you. Hell, we have been in Afghanistan and Iraq for 17 years and nothing has changed in that part of the world. It is still as violent and crazy as it has ever been. I don't want to see us getting into a place where suddenly we find ourselves actively occupying and waging war in dozens of countries. Sure, pinkprick strikes piss the off, but not nearly as much as occupying their country for 17 years while waging war and killing thousands.
