LOLOLOL, your daughter is a smart lady, macbook 12 is the best of it's kind due to its weight size at 1.89 lbs, it is one of the smallest laptops out of all brands(hp,lenovo,dell) running an i5 core. This means she can throw it in her bookbag or go to coffee shops without breaking a sweat and look cool(you want your kid to look cool without breaking bank,brings up their self esteem). You bought well refurbished, add in 1 yr Applecare, well done
Your daughter will use that laptop well into age 17-18, 5-6 years, $300 per year ,a minimal price to pay for her convenience and envy of her mates
