I'm otr here already and at least 2-3x mentioned that controlling inflation will be difficult. It's the simple fact of any growing economy. trump or not.
Of course I don't think paying more for a trade war is good economically. In fact, what I wrote earlier is that the time to negotiate a trade deal is when the economy is doing well, so it can absorb the negative consequences of renegotiating.
I've never once justified anything bad trump has done. here or anywhere. What I am capable of doing is realizing reality and seeing what is good in the world. For example, the US economy is kicking ass. That doesn't mean I don't think trump is a horrible guy for what he's done with immigration. It doesn't mean I'm 99.999999999999999999999999% confident he can't/didn't do a denuke deal with NK. It doesn't mean I don't think he's a creepy guy for all the creepy tweets he's made.
