The problem with these types of candidates is that can potentially divert enough votes away from a significant and established candidate instead. This happened in the california governor election all those years back. Too many candidates spread the vote so thin that someone like schwartzeneggar ran away with it.
It's good to get involved with politics but if you are dangerously unqualified then find a candidate that is worthy and support them instead, at least until you work your way into the mix yourself legitimately.
