The media is responsible for a lot of that, as you pointed out. I do think trump plays into that though. He does run his operation like a reality show and I think even told much of his staff to look at every day as an episode in a reality TV show, he uses the media to broadcast the episodes. Like Rudy, he calls Rudy his "TV lawyer". It was Rudy's job to get in front of the stormy payout lie on the talk shows.
