Jerusalem has been the holiest city in Judaism and the ancestral and spiritual homeland of the Jewish people since the 10th century. It's the most obvious place to put them. The only Arab site in Jerusalem is on the Temple mount and guess what? It's 100% controlled by them, it's also a very important place for Jews and they are not allowed there, just Yesterday some tried to go and celebrate and pray and were arrested.
