So, I have to buy the "sports" package which is an extra $15/mo. In order to get that package I have to upgrade my "basic" package to "digital" which costs an extra $25/mo. In order to get the "digital" package I have to have one of their retrievers which is another $10/mo. Add it all up and my $50/mo bill has doubled just so I can watch some baseball games.

The big problem with cable prices in the US is that there are a lot of places where there are is very little or no competition so if you want cable TV you have to pay the price for it. Obviously, with Hulu, YouTube and other things that is starting to change.

Well that's you.. Personally, there is no way I would ever pay more than 20€ for TV, maybe 30€ if I was living in some secluded village and there would be no other option. TV channels are the most useless thing people throw money at IMO. Like spending time in front of TV is the coolest thing to do ever.. as if sitting in front of PC all day would not be enough.. lol.

I could get like 4 great dinners for $200 in a high end restaurant, paying that for something that should be free (just because of those annoying commercials) is ridiculous. No way.
