In high school I worked at a morgue and assisted the coroner and I saw shit that I still dream about 15-16 years later...
one of the worst was around Christmas time and we were called to an accident scene and a family coming home from Christmas shopping was nailed by a drunk driver and there were Christmas presents all over the road and a little girl that had been thrown from the station wagon was laying in a ditch...while the cops were secruing the scene, they ahd somehow missed her...I found her...the ditch was full of water and had a thin layer of ice on top, which had given under her body weight, so she wasn't visible from the road. Well, I was checking down by the ditch because I had seen a teddy bear along side it and something told me to go down closer to the ditch and I could see her coat
I thought it was just a package or something from the accident. When I pulled this coat out, it was the girl and I turned her over and her face was completely mashed and disfigured. She had this long, beautiful blonde hair that was now wet and freezing in the cold night air.
16 years later and sometimes at night I still see her face in my dreams.
