The right thing was for the two guys to leave the (private) property when they were asked to by the staff (and again by police) . If you're going to take up the (limited) seating in an establishment, at least order a coffee.

Imagine some random guy just shows up and sits down on your driveway or lawn, and you tell him to go away. He says "No, I'm waiting for someone". You say ok I'm calling the cops. The cops come, ask him to leave. They say no, and get forcefully removed. Seems completely logical, no? And before you argue that it's different because this is a starbucks - it's not, it's a business and not bench in a public park.

Not everything that happens to black people is racist. If I (white) got arrested for the same thing, everyone would be saying it's because I'm an unreasonable asshole and wouldn't leave when I was asked.
