I know countless people that carry knives. That use them daily. That have never killed someone.

The instrument is not the problem. The one using the instrument in a terrible fashion is the problem. Blaming the instrument is simply a scapegoat and ignoring underlying issues. Never addressing underlying issues will simply lead to new instruments.
