The funny part about it is, at least with the Stormy Daniels part of this, if he had just left it alone she could have come out and said they had sex, he could have denied it, and unless there are pictures or video of them naked/in bed it would be his word against hers and it would have gone away quickly.
Now, instead, everyone still knows only this time it's cost him a bunch of money and he is going to be caught up in a lawsuit and if he loses it you know she will be on TV shows and likely write a book etc. His effort to cover this up likely gave it legs it never would have had.
