Of course they had to submit their questions in advance. You don't get to sit on forum with a Congressman and say what ever you want. You are talking about live television.
Until we know both what his question was and what the revised question was, this is a pointless conversation. Maybe the kid wanted to ask how many pairs of pink panties does he own, and CNN gave him a better question.
