..and do not even try to get me on what was meant by " well regulated militia"....other then a town's well stocked and LOCKED armoury and where the menfolk ( and yes it was a menfolk) had to go twice a year to practice loading and shooting the muskets before returning the muskets to the armoury, and where they were called to arms ONLY when goverment attacked them....

Even then a military grade musket was not kept in private hands...
