Cardinal Joseph ( the Rat ) Ratzinger, the maybe most powerful man within the catholic church, signed a letter in 2001 that points out that this order ist still effective.
How fitting that this is the same church that is involved and a authority whenever it comes to moral things or protection of youth (at least where i live).
