No disrespect to all the surfers & snowboarders out there, you guys push it WAY HARD, but I aint no fuckin WIMP! I broke 30 bones skateboarding, skiing, snowboarding, fighting & PUNK ROCKING - and I always got up, dusted off and went for more. Skateboarding is very technical, and unforgiving when (not if) you fall. You gotta be in total tune with gravity & the ground and respect it like your god for it will keep reminding you who is king. Old school skaters - don't ever forget who you are and why you look at things diferently. Cyntrifical force is a powerfull thing - and it will never cease to amaze me of how a skater, can look at cement, steel & wooden objects and see uses & carve lines that no-one could ever concieve. But then again... I never asked permission from anyone to think like that - it just comes naturally... from being a hardcore skater till the day I die.
Ahhhh!!! Feels like the good ol' days!!! Skatin' in NY and upstate NY. Upstate is DANGEROUS. Trees EVERYWHERE. Not to mention fucking animals running all over. Try hittin' a racoon at 40mph!!! Mess looks like Davey Crockett with a fractured skull.

Gotta get in shape to skate again. Never had a bad bail. Worse bail I had was at about 35 mph. No bruises, nothin' broken but I was on a high grade hill with an artpad in one hand, nunchaku sticks in the other and pens and pencils bristlin' out of my pockets. After I got done tumbling there was about 50 yards of my stuff all over the street. I have no idea how I survived.

Got a pal here in LA from the old 'Soho Skates' days in Greenwich Village. His name's Ian Frahm. Used to be best skater on the east coast. Worked at Marvel Comics too. He's out here surfin' nowadays. Does some kickass death metal artwork.
