Its just the jaws of life as we call them, and they are worth their weight in gold, a friend has the one with scale and the like it alot. The best scales are those professional ones, but you will not be unhappy with the jaws and scale on so they tell me :-)
I just refused to pay the price for that fancier one, to me I look at length for legal reasons, cause if I can keep it I eat it and could careless how fat that sucker is :-)))
