How to get rid of paypal autoconverting currencies for your incoming payments?

Previously if you had USD, EUR, GBP wallets you received those currencies to appropriate wallets.
At some point paypal changed this and now auto converts every incoming currency to your main currency.

Is t possible to get rid of this shady shit (they probably decided to collect their 3% conversion fees)?

There is some info (start reading from "raminolta" post and down):
https://www.paypal-community.com/t5/...1125071/page/2

Someone suggested that they introduced prechecked checkbox on sender's part to convert to receiver's currency.
Is that correct? Or is there some actual way to prevent this semi scam?
