Without the West as a trading partner, there is no Third World Market to trade with. They have no money.
What you fail to realise is giving a country $100 and getting back $75 is a bad deal. Giving China the ability to build an economy that overtakes the West, then China giving back some of that money. Should be regarded as insane, unless you run a big corporation manufacturing in China.
