It's not a perfectly legal activity. Not at all.
We have ONE GOVERNMENT. Trump was not the President; He was the President elect. He was a private citizen. If he wanted to talk to any foreign government or official, he surely could have - by going through the State Department. The Trump transition team was actively working against the US Government by their actions. It's stunning that anyone believes otherwise.
I read an article that said Obama "did the same thing" when he president elect. This is not true. First, Obama was not a private citizen when he was President Elect. He was an elected official - a Congressman. At the same time, anything Obama did was legally done through the State Department.
Hillary too. There was some discussion Hillary had talks with the Russians. She most likley did. However, she did so through the State Department.
This right here is the problem with Trump and his people. They tend to think like business man and think they can do whatever they want. They surely cannot. They do not work for themselves - They work for us, the American public. And there are a lot of rules and laws involved - and they don't seem to know anyone of them, how they work, how they apply, and that they have violated all of them.
